Do you have a Dutch parent and a parent from abroad, just like me? Then I am looking for you! For my project Hidden Nationalities I would like to interview and photograph people who grew up with two cultures.

How did you experience growing up with two cultures? Do you speak that second language and do you pass it on to your children (if you have any)? Does it have an added value for you or isn't it really that important? I'm also very curious about your favourite food from that country, what dish or pastry or snack do you have fond memories of?

I would love to hear your story! For my project I'll come to your house. We'll have an informal chat, while you prepare something from that other country. In the meantime I'll take pictures (no posing). I would also like to receive the recipe. The idea is to bring all those recipes and stories together in a book.
